Union - A Frank Lloyd Wright Wedding | Orchestrated Stylized Shoots

Our latest Orchestrated Stylized Shoots event was all about commemorating the legacy of Frank Lloyd Wright and its touch of historical significance locally in Virginia Beach. If you don't know who Frank Lloyd Wright is, you definitely should read more about him! Considered the greatest American architect of all time, Wright strongly believed that the natural world and architecture should harmonize, and as such Virginia Beach's own Cooke House exemplifies that philosophy. Wright oriented the house precisely to the south and built into the natural dunes. His iconic hemicycle in the structure stays true to everything Wright stood for.

We designed this particular event to be the modern wedding with a bit of 1960's influence (since that was Wright's time period!). Burgundy, muted light green, tan, and copper became our color scheme... as those are the colors that dominate the Cooke House and its structure. It was such an amazing time, and all of us were blown away by everyone's creative visions coming to life. I do believe Mr. Frank Lloyd Wright would think we did his work proud! :)

A major element of the day was Mr. and Mrs. Duhl, the amazing homeowners of this beautiful piece of Virginia Beach history. They not only allowed us to be a part of their amazing home for the day, but their stories from before they lived at the Cooke House and stories of restoring the Cooke House made the event extra special. I'll never forget it!
