Now Presenting... The Photo-Fam Album, Vol. II.

I like books. I like photos. I like family. I like multi-purposed items.

It was only a matter of time before I started connecting the dots and realizing the new most ingenious idea to hit my brain.

What a better way to showcase album covers/samples than a purposeful and beautiful photo-fam album? SHAZAM!

So twice a year, there will be a new volume with new images of weddings and events from that part of the year. (I LOVE my photo-fam who have sessions with me, but sadly, these will be geared mainly towards weddings since there are fewer of them throughout the year.)

Some of these layouts are from couples' final album designs and some are new designs I created to showcase a few different other aspects specifically for this photo-fam album. :) Best of both worlds!

When couples meet with me, they will be able to see how I design my albums, what an album feels/smells like (oh my gosh, AH-mazing), and be able to be part of what's to come in their future with Bit of Ivory Photography. When I shoot a wedding, I shoot with albums in mind. A story to be told later. :)

[Volume II is a 10x10 lay-flat album with 10 spreads. You can find more information about the albums I use on the Albums post I wrote back in 2012.]

For the record...

... Morgan said it first, not me.

"You know she's going to post those on the internet."

Yep, she said it. Not me. So, Brucers, you are now made infamous with your Vogue Bookmark pose.

Morgan and Bruce came by to pick up their Save-the-Dates. As stated before, Morgan is a librarian and so it was without question that she would get bookmarks for their Save-the-Dates. She's also planning on having a completely "green" or eco-wedding... so they wanted recycled paper.

Designs were finalized and printed... and finally ready for pick up!

Morgan was saying something to Bruce about the functionality of the recycled paper and size, and she took down a book from my bookcase (which also exposes the book preferences I tend to lean towards... :) ).

I'll let the photo speak the rest. Needless to say, my direction of "Look excited!" turned into this.

(I won't reveal the whole Save the Date yet until they mail them out! Just my custom! So check back on Facebook in the next few weeks.)

Now Presenting... the Christmas Card Designs for 2010!

Okay, so I bet most of you aren't even thinking about Christmas yet, but in the photog world, we've been chattering about it for months to prepare for all of you who like the special touches and details of the holiday season.

This year, I'm offering 5 different designs. One for every type of style out there. These are only available to past, present, and near future photo-fam members!

These Christmas cards are 5x7 in size, flat (not folded), doubled-sided, and press-printed. They come in packs of 25 with white envelopes... and are BEAUTIFUL!

The best part? The text is customizable! When you order, you can select any wording/phrasing that suits your family best. The length must fit into wherever the designated spot is, though. Soooo... no novels. ;)

How much, how much?!
* If you purchase your cards before October 31st, each pack of 25 cards is only $40.

* If you purchase your cards AFTER October 31st, each pack of 25 cards is $50.

I want more!
Each additional pack is $30.

What do I have to do?!
1. Email me!
2. Choose your most favorite two images from your session and a card design. If your session was awhile back and you can't remember which one, look on Facebook in the galleries.
3. You must pay for your cards before I send you a proof of your design.
4. You will receive a proof within three days of ordering.
5. Once you give the a-okay, your order is processed with my pro lab!
6. Expect your cards within two weeks of processing.
7. Mail them off to all your loved ones!

What if my session isn't until November, but I want the pre-November price?!
Just place your order, and select your photos when you get your proofing gallery! However, your session must be before November 7th to ensure timely delivery of everything.

Can I save $5?!
Sure can! Allow me to put a discreet version of my logo on the back of your Christmas card. Five bucks saved. :)

Now presenting... Spiral Bound Albums.

I'm so excited to start offering these! So much time and research goes into finding the "best" choice in terms of products to offer my photo-fam.

It's unbelievable how many other photographers I asked and how much time I've spent on various websites and communities getting more information about what different pro-labs offer. I seriously need to get BFF Elaine into pro-photography because then she would tell me right off the bat if something is good enough (like she does with the rest of my life). :D

Spiral bound albums are a beautiful, quality, and affordable way to have all of your photos from a session. I typically offered these with events, but have decided that all sessions would love them just as much. These are perfect for child and family sessions.

Note: I honestly don't recommend them for weddings. Weddings are grander in meaning and size, and these spiral bound albums have a maximum number of prints that can be included in them. You would want something a little more heirloom quality.

These little beauties are very well-crafted with sturdy styrene custom covers sandwiching all of your memories together in one handy 5x5 album.

Now presenting... Canvas Gallery Wraps.

For me, it's all about presentation. When I give a gift, it needs to be perfectly wrapped, and, if available, adorned with a coordinating bow. When I give a client's order, I'm all about the ribbons, boxes, and folio sleeves... after all, the presentation sets the stage for the real good stuff inside. (Yes, I'm a little OCD if you didn't already know. :) )

And how I present my photos to the world is another sense of pride. I always buy coordinating frames to match my home's decor. How I place them in the frames... et cetera. It's purely for my own benefit, but it always makes me smile when someone pauses and leans over to look at a photo on our bookcase. Something caught their eye! Success!

I discovered canvas gallery wraps a few months ago and have waited until the right time to purchase one. Before I say anything else... Best. Money. Spent. Ever.

I thought canvas was just for paint and artsy pursuits! When I found out that photos could be printed and wrapped around a wooden frame, I immediately set out to look for a pro-lab that I could use for my clients (and myself!!). It took some research, but I'm happy to say that I finally found one that I can be proud to use, and AAGHH!! I love it! SO MUCH.

I don't know how I'll go back to regular ole prints again... one day, my dream is to have my entire home's wall artfully arranged with canvas wraps. (I know, I dream lofty dreams. ;) ) Can I put myself on a payment plan!?

[Note: It's in the works for Bit of Ivory to offer Canvas Wrap Collections. I feel so strongly about these beautiful things that I want to find a way to make it value-friendly, but priceless. Be on the lookout in the upcoming months.]
